Initiatives

Our work builds empathy and understanding, connecting diverse people and communities. We strive to build and empower a citizenry that can tackle big questions with deep understanding, breadth of perspectives, and shared humanity.

Our commitments to expanding representations of Asian and Middle Eastern peoples, to creating opportunities for storytellers of Asian and Middle Eastern backgrounds, and to building alliances within and between diverse communities have manifested over the years in several initiatives. These initiatives were born of an activist impulse that leverages pragmatism, incrementalism, and measurable impact within a broader social change context. We have long believed that it is not enough to produce art, but rather to be the representation we want to see. We must help build ecosystems that sustain and empower artists, and which nurture and promote new narratives.
