On May 7, 2017, renowned Syrian jazz-fusion trio Hewar performed at the Historic Chicago Temple Building. They were joined by 15 members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Proceeds were donated to Save the Children to benefit Syrian refugees.
The concert was followed by a Q&A moderated by Silk Road Rising’s Jamil Khoury.
