Following the February 23, 2003 performance of Jamil Khoury's Precious Stones, a post-show discussion was held with the playwright, actors, and two experts on the socio-political background of the play.
Participants included Dr. Ghada Talhami, Professor of Politics at Lake Forest College, and Rabbi Rebecca Lillian. This lively discussion explored the complex and divisive questions that Silk Road Theatre Project's inaugural production raises about belonging, love, family, and community.
